The Brothers of Saint Gabriel are one of three congregations founded in the spirit of Saint Louis-Marie Grignion de Montfort (1673–1716) — a priest, missionary, and Marian writer of the French Catholic tradition. Our charism is grounded in three inseparable convictions.
God Alone — Dieu Seul — nothing more, nothing less. The first and final word of the Montfortian life.
Everything begins and ends in God. The Brother's life is consecrated radically to God through the vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience.
Following Montfort's teaching, the Brother goes to Christ through Mary — the surest, easiest, and most perfect way of union with God.
Saint Gabriel's particular mission is the Christian education of youth, with preference for those who are poor or without other options.
