ANNUAL OBEDIENCE

Each year, the Provincial Superior issues a Letter of Obedience — assigning each Brother to a community, a Local Superior, and an apostolic work for the year ahead. This is one of the most sacred acts of Religious life.

WHAT IS OBEDIENCE

In the Brother's vow of obedience, he places his life freely at the service of the Lord through the Congregation. The annual letter of obedience expresses this concretely: it tells the Brother where he is sent, with whom he will live, and what apostolate he will serve. Brothers respond to it with the spirit of Saint Louis-Marie de Montfort — God Alone — trusting that, through the discernment of the Superior, it is God who calls.

CURRENT YEAR (2026–2027)

The Letter of Obedience for the year 2026–2027, issued by the Provincial Superior with the consent of the Provincial Council, took effect on 1 May 2026. A public summary will be made available here once the Provincial Secretariat completes the formatting for publication.

Obedience, for the Brother, is not a yoke but a path of freedom — the freedom of doing always the will of the Father, in the company of brothers, for the sake of those entrusted to our mission.
