LITURGICAL CALENDAR OF THE PROVINCE

The Brothers keep the universal calendar of the Roman Church, with proper feasts particular to the Congregation. Three feasts mark the rhythm of the Province in a special way.

PRINCIPAL FEASTS

Date	Feast	Significance
28 April	Saint Louis-Marie de Montfort	The death day — dies natalis — of our spiritual father. Patronal feast of all three Montfortian congregations.
27 February	Saint Gabriel of Our Lady of Sorrows (Possenti)	Patron of the Congregation; a young Passionist Brother whose holiness inspires our Religious life.
8 December	Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary	Principal Marian feast for the Brothers, in keeping with our Marian charism.

OTHER SIGNIFICANT OBSERVANCES

The Marian feasts throughout the year (Annunciation, Assumption, Our Lady of the Rosary, and others);
The Octave of Easter and the days of the Sacred Triduum, kept solemnly in community;
Local feast days of the schools, where the Brothers join the school community in prayer.

The liturgical year is the great teacher of the Brothers — in its rhythm of seasons we learn to keep step with the life of Christ and the heart of his Mother.
