Provincial Superior

The Provincial Superior is the Major Superior of the Brothers of Saint Gabriel in Thailand. Appointed by the Superior General with the consent of the General Council, the Provincial Superior leads the Thailand Province in religious life, governance, and mission for a three-year term (renewable once).

ROLE OF THE PROVINCIAL SUPERIOR

Within the Congregation, the Provincial Superior:

Exercises ordinary jurisdiction over the Brothers of the Thailand Province (Canon 134);
Promotes the spiritual life of the Brothers and the apostolic mission of the Province;
Visits each community of the Province periodically;
Decides postings and missions of the Brothers (the annual letter of obedience);
Convokes and presides at the Provincial Council and the Provincial Chapter;
Serves ex officio as President of the Saint Gabriel's Foundation of Thailand for the duration of the term.

The Provincial Superior is, above all, a Brother among Brothers — called to serve in the spirit of Saint Louis-Marie de Montfort: God Alone, through Mary, for the young and the poor.
